Level 5 Principal Appointment Pool

Are you looking for an opportunity to lead in a Western Australian public school? We are establishing a pool of eligible and highly motivated individuals to fill short term principal vacancies in WA public schools across the state.

Eligible Schools

A Level 5 Principal is appointed to the following types of schools:

• Primary schools with 301 to 700 students


• District High Schools with 150 to 450 students


• Education Support schools with more than 80 students

Applicant Requirements

• The completed online application form;


• A comprehensive, up to date CV, including details of 2 work related referees, one being your current line manager where possible;


• Identification (e.g. birth certificate, passport, change of name documentation - marriage certificate);


• Evidence of eligibility to work in Australia, including Australian or New Zealand citizenship or Australian work permit (e.g. citizenship papers, Australian work visa with date of entry - Visa Entitlement Verification Online (VEVO));


• Evidence of your current Western Australian teacher registration (from the Teacher Registration Board of Western Australia);


• Evidence of your teaching qualification (certificate of completion).

Eligibility for Employment

Eligibility for employment is subject to obtaining a satisfactory National Police History Check through the Department of Education’s Screening Unit, a valid Working with Children Check (https://workingwithchildren.wa.gov.au) and Western Australian teacher registration. These must be confirmed prior to commencing employment.
