About North Regional TAFE
North Regional TAFE are seeking to establish an open recruitment pool.
This pool will be used to appoint suitable applicants as vacancies arise, on a casual basis.
Here’s what you need to know:
- You can apply anytime during the open pool period.
- Applications are expected to be assessed every 3 months, but this can vary based on operational needs.
- Only those applicants who have been assessed as suitable through a merit selection process can be considered for selection to the pool.
- Appointment from the pool to a vacancy, is not guaranteed.
- You will receive advice that you have been recommended for appointment to the pool or that you were unsuccessful for appointment to the pool.
- If you're not successful, you can request feedback and can reapply in the future.
- Appointments may be made from this pool until 6 July 2026.
- North Regional TAFE reserves the right to extend or cease advertising at any given time in the future.
About the Position
This position is responsible for assisting students with a disability to fully participate in the learning environment and successfully complete training and assessment requirements.
This position will be responsible for:
- Provide personal support and assistance to students with disability within the learning environment, taking into account barriers to learning identified in referral and subsequent processes, ensuring appropriate regard for Work Health and Safety requirements, College policies and professional boundaries.
- Identify and implement effective working practices with students including clarifying information, practicing tasks as directed by lecturers, assisting with access to adaptive and assistive technology and appropriate learning resources, and any other tasks as determined by a student’s vocational training needs.
- Maintain student records including factual notes regarding learning support delivered and/or needed by students, and where required seek guidance and assistance to address needs.

Other Conditions and Eligibility
