The WA Police Force often have short term vacancies while our employees take periods of leave, are deployed elsewhere in the department or are seconded to other agencies within the public sector. In addition to this, we also regularly need people to work on projects with funding for a finite period or to meet the short term needs of a branch when workload is high. Depending on the business needs for the branch, we often require full-time and part-time staff for periods of up to twelve (12) months.
The Western Australia Police Force is responsible for policing the world's largest single police jurisdiction, covering Western Australia's 2.5 million square kilometres with over 150 police stations across 8 metropolitan and 7 regional districts.
The Personnel Payroll Branch manages and coordinates the personnel and payroll functions for the entire WA Police Force. They are responsible for creation and maintenance of employee records on a computerised payroll system to facilitate the accurate and timely payment of wages to all staff.
The Personnel Payroll Branch also provides a comprehensive payroll advisory service for all staff.
As part of the Personnel Services team, you will provide critical payroll support through the creation and maintenance of personnel records, entitlements and payments for all WA Police Force employees.
Whilst payroll or finance experience would be beneficial, it is not essential. If we can see that you have the potential to develop, we would love to see you apply.
